課程特色

    本校旨在培養學生良好的閱讀習慣,提倡從閲讀中學習,故設「中英文紅信閱讀獎勵計劃」,以助鼓勵學生記錄閲讀成果,制定閱讀進程並達致目標。

    為更提升學生的閱讀量,本校每天早會前及小息時間都開放圖書館,讓學生閱讀或借閱圖書。圖書館館藏多項書籍,包括語文/繪本類、正句教育主題圖書、兒童讀物、兒童雜誌、中英文字典、有聲書、立體書漫畫、偵探歷險等,借閱期限為兩星期。本校亦同時推動電子書閱讀,讓學生獲得更豐富的閱讀資源。

    課程方面,圖書課每周一節,每級別都有不同的教學內容和閱讀策略,發展學生的閱讀能力,並聯繫各方面知識。

    另外,本校設「學生圖書館理員」,主要招募高年級學生參與圖書館事務及協助活動進行,以提升他們的歸屬感。本校也很重視親子閱讀, 推動家長支援閱讀活動,設「早晨故事爸媽家長義工」邀請家長擔任「故事爸媽」,為學生講故事。

Our school aims to cultivate students' good reading habits and promote learning through reading, so we have established the "Chinese and English Reading Award Scheme (RAS)" to help encourage students to record their reading results, formulate their reading progress and achieve their reading goals.

In order to further increase students' reading capacity, our school opens the library every day before morning assembly and during recess time for students to read or borrow books. The library has a wide collection of books, including Chinese/picture books, regular education themed books, children's books, children's magazines, Chinese and English dictionaries, audio books, pop-up comics, detective adventures, etc. The borrowing period is two weeks. Our school also promotes e-book reading to provide students with richer reading resources.

In terms of course curriculum, there is one library lesson per week. Each level has different teaching content and reading strategies to develop students' reading ability and connect various aspects of knowledge.

In addition, our school has "student librarians" where mainly senior students are recruited to participate in library affairs and assist in activities to enhance their sense of belonging. Our school also attaches great importance to parent-child reading and promotes parents to support reading activities. We organize "Morning Story-telling Parents” parent volunteer activity to invite parents to serve as "story-telling parents" to tell stories to students.
