To further enhance students’ learning interest in English, our school has implemented the Primary Literacy Programme - Reading （PLPR）in Key Stage 1 (Primary 1 – Primary 3). This programme enables students to learn English in an interesting way. Students learn English through different language activities including shared reading, guided reading, role-play and small group teaching.
Our school has designed and developed our own set of learning and teaching process (from Reading to Writing) in both Key Stage 1 and 2 in the English curriculum. It aims to help students scaffold their English learning in a systematic way. To enhance teaching and learning effectiveness, formative assessment (FA) is applied. This application enables students, teachers and parents to have a clearer picture towards students’ learning. Teachers and parents then can give timely support to students in their learning.
